The Mourouk Ebony is set up facing the vast lagoon,
streaked with various shades of blue and turquoise contrasting with the deeper
blue of the winding channel and sheltering a number of desert islets. The hotel rests onto a hilly landscape
flanked with isolated sandy beaches that is sure to remind one of the African
Savanna.
The hotel offers an excellent food and is well known for its
particular family atmosphere and its land and sea sports activities mainly kite
surfing, funboard, diving and deep-sea fishing.
The hotel is 30 minutes by car from the airport and
also 30 minutes from the capital Port-Mathurin.
Accommodation
30 rooms of which 20 are communicating. All rooms are set up facing the lagoon and
are air-conditioned and equipped with private bathroom (shower) with kit,
minibar, tea and coffee, tropical ceiling fan and terrace. It is also possible to include an extra bed
or cot upon request.
Villa Oceane
The Mourouk Ebony Hotel hosts its villa "Océane". A more
original product, closer to the Rodriguan lifestyle with calm, serenity and
proximity to the stunning lagoon swaying with the sun, the tides and the
back and fro of the local fishermen as
its main keynotes.
This exclusive setting overlooking the beach, secluded
from the other hotel amenities, guarantees a tranquil environment. Its private
swimming pool and Jacuzzi, its personalized service coupled with the
possibility to share the execution of delicious recipes with the hotel Chef and
the versatility of its booking modes allows for varied clients: couples more
keen to preserve their intimacy to families willing to indulge into a unique
holiday experience.
The " Océane" Villa can be booked in the following modes:
Mode 1: Two luxury room, 55SqM each at ground floor
Mode 2: Family concept - Two rooms of 20SqM each with mezzanine upstairs
coupled with the kitchen and living room at ground floor level.
Mode 3: Junior Suite comprising of one luxury room
55SqM with the kitchen and living room at ground floor level and two rooms, 20 SqM coupled with the mezzanine
upstairs.
Mode 4 : Presidential Suite - two luxury rooms, 55SqM and the kitchen and living room at ground floor level and two rooms, 20SqM coupled with the mezzanine upstairs.
Restaurant and Bar
Meals are served in the shelter of the vast terrace
of our main restaurant ‘Le Bois d'Ébène' which defines the
attractive local architecture, overlooking the pool and lagoon. Our cuisine exotic and refined offers a
variety of Creole dishes with a slight European touch. Vegetable organic, are from our garden and
seafood fresh from the lagoon. Our new beach restaurant ‘Le
Casier' on the beach and the beach
bar ‘Poss Pesser' offers variety of fresh seafood and exotic
cocktails.

Outings across the island and on desert islets that
can be viewed from the hotel, car hire, laundry, baby-sitting, Massage and
beauty parlour, boutique, Conference room which can accommodate up to 30
persons.

windsurf, funboard and Kitesurf club situated in the hotel proposes different activities to make you
discover the island of Rodrigues through different original aspects. Under the supervision of our professionals,
you will surely appreciate the new sensations offered by the huge lagoon (200SqKm).
Scuba Diving
The Bouba Diving Center is
based at Mourouk Ebony Hotel, on the South-Eastern part of the island facing
the large winding channel, "La Grande Passe". The club is run by a bilingual NAUI instructor who will share with you
his passion for the underwater world. The dive outings may be confined to the numerous sites that the "Grande
Passe" contains, but he will also challenge you to explore the over-stretched
barrier reef which still conceals a great deal of its secrets...
Deep Sea Fishing
You will have access to the best fishing spots
to catch the phenomenal ‘kingfish' and the marlin - the king of the seas, due
to the strategic location of the hotel. We will also provide the best kit
for this sporting activity. 55 miles from Rodrigues, you can make a good
catch on the east bank, and at 90 miles on the great Hawkins bank, an
extraordinary adventure awaits you!
The Rod
fishing Club currently hold the new World Record for a Blue Marlin of
561.500kg on 80lbs stand-up by Stephan Kreupl on 30 January 2007. In addition,
we hold a record prize in jigging by Christian Mercier for a Dogtooth Tuna of
104.500 kg on a line of 100lbs the 25 October 2007. These records exhibit the
strong rodriguan potential, especially for women and juniors. For more

Traditional fishing
Local
fishermen of the neighbouring will be pleased to have you on board of their
traditional boat during their daily outings.
