Different kinds of accommodation are available. All the rooms are decorated in cheerful, sunny colours and have large beds as well as comfortable armchairs or settees.
The Main Building has 70 Standard rooms (29 m²) and 4 Superior Rooms (30 m²)
The attractive Bungalows, set in the delightful grounds, house 35 Deluxe Rooms (36 m²) and 3 Family Deluxe Rooms (42 m²).
In the Garden Court, there are 12 Deluxe Rooms (36m²) with larger balcony or patio area and 45 Superior Rooms (34 m²).

Restaurants and Bars
La Terrasse

The restaurant, with its huge terrace, lies surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. The ambience is one of serene tranquillity, overlooking the swimming pool and with wonderful views out over the whole Bay.
The restaurant has a reputation for exotic cuisine, inspired by Chinese, Creole and French traditions. La Terrasse’s special touches include tables d’hôte menus, enormous buffets and friendly barbecues.
Le Badamier
(10a.m. to 1a.m.)
The Bar feels extremely comfortable and relaxing. Sitting under a traditional thatched roof, guests can admire the breathtaking view of the turquoise lagoon, whilst sipping colourful cocktails, local drinks or a range of international beverages.
The Bar also provides a Beach Service during daylight hours.
Room Service
From 6.30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, guests can order sandwiches, meals and drinks from their rooms.
Entertainment
The resident band entertains guests every evening with a great variety of international and local favourites for dancing to - or for just plain listening or dreaming under the tropical night sky.
Evening entertainment also includes Sega nights, featuring colourful Mauritian dances and songs, and cabaret shows.

The Beach
The hotel enjoys the privacy of a secluded beach of dazzling white sand bordering the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon.
Swimming Pool
The large swimming pool, with a paddling pool for young children, is surrounded by an inviting terrace, where guests can relax under the shade of beach umbrellas and coconut trees.
Water Sports
Free-of-charge: water-skiing, windsurfing, lasers, pedal boats, kayaks (single and double), snorkelling trip to the reef and glass bottom boat rides
For a fee: diving centre, managed by a qualified instructor (CMAS/DIWA), big game fishing, speedboat trips and catamaran cruises.
Land-based Activities
Free of charge: floodlit tennis court, volley-ball facilities, football pitch and gymnasium.
For a fee: mountain bikes.
There is a golf course 15-minutes drive from the hotel. Green fees payable.
Spa
Open from 09 a.m. to 08 p.m.
Merville Beach is one of the few 3-star hotels to have its own spa.
It is decorated in colourful and sensuous shades of light purple and fuchsia and overlooks the picturesque sandy beach.
There are six treatment rooms dedicated to massages, 2 of which are double rooms, two single and two double garden kiosks overlooking the lagoon.
The Spa faces the turquoise lagoon and fringes an outdoor, salt-water pool, and there are 3 king-size double beds to relax after treatment. It also has a double sauna and a double steam room.
Conference Room
The main attraction of the hotel for groups is its location in Grand Bay, as well as its Conference Room facilities.
Jacaranda
This air-conditioned conference room is available free-of-charge to hotel residents and can accommodate 100 people seated cinema-style.
Standard equipment (television and DVD system, a PA system and flip charts) is available for those staying at the hotel, with no extra costs involved. A fee is charged for other equipment, such as an overhead LCD projector and screen or a slide projector.
Internet and e-mails access are available at business centre, whilst secretarial and fax services can be provided during office hours.
The hotel also offers various beverage and snack packages, to meet group requirements during the day.

• Public transport (5.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.) A regular bus service operates past Merville Beach, with a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus takes about 20 minutes to Pamplemousses Garden and about 30 minutes to Port Louis. Every half-hour, an Express bus runs from the centre of Grand Bay to Port Louis.
