La Maison D’été is a small family run establishment with 10 rooms where the charm and intimacy of a guesthouse blends with the efficient service of a hotel. Harmoniously set in a tropical garden alongside the sea, this unique place with its soothing colours and convivial decor is the perfect hideaway for those who dream to escape in a warm peaceful haven.
On the North-East coast of Mauritius, at Poste Lafayette, well known region for its tranquility, lush vegetation, preserved lagoon and sandy coves lined by volcanic rocks where refreshing sea breeze flows most of the time. At 1 hour drive from the airport, 35 minutes from the capital, Port-louis and seaside resort Grand-Bay, 25 minutes from Ile aux Cerfs and the botanical garden of Pamplemousses, 15 minutes from Belle-mare and its golf and spa resorts and less than 5 minutes to the kite surf spots.
Accommodation
Built on an area of 4,225 sq mts, La Maison D’été consists of a Villa with 4 individual double bedded rooms, 6 double-bedded Bungalows-studios, a bar-restaurant, 2 swimming pools, 2 private sandy beaches with sun beds and sheds, a recreation ground and parking.
The Bungalows-Studios (25SqM each)
Blending perfectly with the nature, the six thatch roofed bungalows bask in the sun, enjoy the sea breeze and invite their guests to laze peacefully all year round. Exposed to the soft charm of the sunrise, they allow themselves to be gently lulled in the evening by the regular murmur of the waves flirting with the coral reefs.
Each Bungalow consists of a double or twin bed, a cabin shower bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining table and a terrace with lying chairs.
The whole complex is sea facing and has a direct access to the fresh water pool and the beach. Five Bungalows are at ground floor, two of them being intercommunicated and one is on first floor with a balcony.
The Villa and its Guestrooms (40-60 sq mtS each)
Near to the Bungalows, the freshly renovated Villa consists of 4 rooms designed and toned with their natural and pure environment face to the spectacular and infinite scenery of the ocean.
Each room is à priori individual but may also communicate to each other when necessary. A wide common terrace is the link to gather a family or a group at breakfast time or for some “before” and “after” cocktail drinks.
Spacious, elegant and comfortable, each room has a glass door which slides on to a private terrace facing the ocean and the pool. Each room comprises a double palanquin wooden bed with a ceiling fan, rattan furniture and an equipped mini-bar. Each bathroom has a cabin shower, toilets, double sinks and a spacious wardrobe.
3 rooms are at ground floor, one of them has a twin bedded communicating room with bathroom meant for families with 2- 3 children. 1 room is on first floor nestled in the alcove of the thatch roof benefiting of a splendid view and wide private balcony; an ideal hideaway for honeymooners.
Services
All the meals starting with breakfast at 8 :30 are served in the restaurant or in its sea view terrace in the garden.

«AUBERG’INN». THE Bar-Restaurant
The cosy and homely restaurant discreetly located on the garden side at the entrance of La Maison D’Été is part of the reception and the lounge. It proposes “à la carte”, a wide range of savours prepared with local fresh products enhanced by a personalised and exclusive service on soft background jazz notes. The wine list has been selected with care to complement the different flavours.
The bar is open during the restaurant hours and proposes a card full of tropical and exotic cocktails or other refreshing drinks specially dedicated to unforgettable holidays.
